the hills are alive
Jon has never watched 'The Sound of Music' - he bought me the DVD for Christmas so we are going to watch it tonight - hurrah! Such a FAB film!!!
Had a really really lovely day today. Got up and went to the big Sainsburys in Stoke, I spent some Christmas money on three tops and a cardy - should have come to £48 and I spent £27 - I love bargains!!! Did a bit of shopping whilst we were there and stocked up on nappies as they had a 1/3 off.
We then went to Trentham and ate our sausage rolls/pasties that we had bought in Sainsburys and walked down to the Boathouse for a cuppa. Zak walked all the way there and most of the way back. Maisey walked most of the way back but she was walking like a duck and saying 'carry carry' - figured there was something wrong with her nappy. So when we got back to main shops etc I changed Maiseys nappy and her nappy had rubbed her legs and caused a blister bless her - washable nappies are maybe not the best for walking in!! We try and keep Maisey in washable nappies all the time unless we are away and at night time - but maybe we need to use disposables on walks from now on!!! Had the potty out again this evening and she did a little poo on it! Yesterday after tea we took her nappy off - first she did a little poo and was so amazed picked it up!!! Yuck!!!! A bit later she did a wee - we all cheered and she looked so pleased with herself that she kept going back and looking at the wee!!! Not sure when we are going to potty train her properly yet - Zak was 2 1/2, hoping that maybe if she is ready will be able to do it a bit sooner.
Popped to Mothercare on the way home to get Maiseys feet measured - she has out grown her shoes but someone gave us some lovely brown boots that were half a size bigger so she can still wear them which is great and has saved us £28.
Just waiting for Jon to jump in the bath and then we can start the movie!!!!! I wonder if he will like it!!! Planning on going to Church in the morning and im quite excited about going! Sleep well xxxxxxx
