The story of the bed!!!
Jon and I bought our bed about 7 years ago - we really liked the bed but it had a bit of a naff mattress on it that we intended to replace. We never did replace it so for 7 years have been sleeping on a naff mattress. Then the bed itself broke, I was pregnant with Maisey and Jon came to bed one night and I found myself on the floor!!! Jon managed to mend it but it has never been quite the same and would not really cope with a 'move' and having to be unscrewed and screwed back together again.
About a month ago Jons Grandad gave us £500 which was very very lovely of him. Our sensible heads said that we should put it into our 0% interest Credit card, but after a lot of thinking we decided to buy a new bed. We bought the bed itself a few weeks ago from ebay - brand new bed that had just been in a show room flat for £99. Then the confusing world of mattresses!!!! We looked at them in lots of places on the internet in Makro and other shops. The most useful place by far was the shop Dreams who clearly explained all about the world of mattresses! We choose a 'pocket sprung' one - there was the option of one with memory foam on the top but that was a bit out of our price range and you can get a memory foam topper at a later date. So we spent about £400 on this new mattress hoping it will see us through for many years and stop all the aches and pains Jon is getting from sleeping on our present mattress.
So the mattress arrived this morning and tonight we will sleep on it for the first time!!! Cant wait!!! Will tell you how it was tomorrow!!!!
