Week one of Easter Holidays

| | Comments (1)
Well week one has happened and week two is about to start of Zak's Easter holidays. Maundy Thursday we went off to Sussex - it took six and a half hours to get there and we ended up going through London (which was quite exciting) as the M25 was chocca block both ways. We stayed in Sussex till Saturday night when it took slightly less time to get home. We had a lovely Easter day - service in the morning at Church then baptisms at a swimming pool in the evening. I always love baptisms - seeing people stand up and going for God - especially as two children were baptised - really hope and pray they keep going!!!!  We came home on Easter Sunday to out house full of our friends Derek and Sarah and their kiddies, who stayed until Easter Monday - we had a lovely time with them.  Tuesday our friend Rob came and Jon and him fitted our new shower. Wednesday I had the car so we went to Ellies for the day. We went to the story time at their local library and all the kids listened really well to the story - very cute!!! Thursday we had a lazy morning then went into Newcastle on the bus and did few bits of shopping then took Zak for an assessment for swimming lessons. Jon met us there (surprisingly!) which was fantastic as because Zak had never been to that swimming pool before he didn't know if he could touch the bottom or not, so didn't want to go in the water - there were tears and every which way of encouraging him to go in, but EVENTUALLY he went in - hurrah!!! If he had not have managed to get into the water then he would not have been able to have swimming lessons - but he did and he is booked in to go every week for half an hour for the next ten weeks.  Friday lazy day. Saturday into Hanley then our friends Jamie and Kate and baby Sam came - had a lovely day with them on Sunday then they totted off this morning. Took Zak and Maisey to soft play with a group of Mums I meet up with on Monday mornings, then Ellie, Joe and Alfie came back here for lunch and play.

I feel shattered, I woke up quite a few times when Sam did over the two nights they were with us and don't feel like I have stopped since Maundy Thursday.

And now another path that maybe out future will take has appeared. St Johns Harbourne a Church in Bham near (ish) to Jons parents are advertising for a Childrens and Families worker and a Youth Worker. Jon and I both have the info packs and are thinking all that through. Will fill them in and send them off and just see what happens and what God wants.

Mum is doing well, she has a good friend now who is looking after her and was her 'carer' for the weekend, nice that she has someone to keep her company - let's hope it continues to go well.

Been trying a bit of the potty training this holiday as well. Maisey is probably a bit too early to potty train but I am fed up of nappies!!!! She seems to be able to hold her wee but doesn't like sitting on the potty to relieve herself - would rather hold it in till it hurts and walk round like a duck. Fun Fun Fun

Sorry this entry is huge and probably really boring - will try and find some more interesting things to blog about this week!!!
