Snowy Sunday
Had quiet a bit of snow today although none of it stuck and stayed! Zak was dissapointed as he wanted to build a snow mountain and use his sledge.
Church was good this morning although I didn't hear any of the sermon as I was playing with Maisey in Creche. Decided what I am going to be doing for the 40days of praying - I am going to only eat fruit in the mornings between breakfast and lunch and also not have an indulgent supper snack - quiet often all day I look forward to what I am going to eat once the kids have gone to bed and I have decided to give that up for the 40 days of prayer.
This afternoon the boys went swimming - trying to build Zak's confidence up in time for this weeks swimming lessons and Maisey and I went to Brampton Park (cheaper than all of us going swimming!). Maisey and I had great fun - looked at the birds, had a ride on the little train that was free with donations greatfully received (I only had 10p - but did put that in the box!!!) and in the playground.
Kids bedtime is a NIGHTMARE at the moment. Zak always used to go to sleep even if Maisey was crying. But now he had decided to cry if Maisey is - so we have both of them wailing and shouting 'Mummy'. Trouble is Zak is really tired but 7.00pm and really needs to go to bed then. Maisey has a sleep in the day and could quite happily go till 7.30 or 8.00pm. But we don't really want to risk putting Zak to sleep first incase when Maisey does go up later she then wakes him up and we are back at sqaure one. But putting Maisey to sleep at 7.00 and Zak at 7.30 wont work - as Zak is really tired by 7.00pm and Maisey would probably would cry for longer than half an hour. Could stop Maiseys sleep then she would be tired by 6.30 and then could put Zak to bed at 7.00, but she can't really keep going without a sleep and I find her asleep on the floor around 4.00pm. Don't know what to do!!! Separate bedrooms would be an answer but Jon is not keen and we haven't really got the room. We gave in after an hour tonight and Jon went in with them until they fell asleep. Trouble is Jon fell asleep too!! So they are all up there fast asleep - did go and wake Jon up but he still hasn't appeared. Might do him some good, he comes to bed far too late 1.30am on average. So any suggestions on the sleep thing would be most appreciated, especially as Jon is working two nights this week so will be doing it alone.
Hope you all have a good week.
