Zaks first week at school

Zak woke up on Monday morning at 5.45am excited about his first day at school - positive sign!!! He went in fine and I hung around a bit and watched him come back out of the classroom to put his lunch bag into a box already chatting away to a little girl so knew he would be fine. When I picked him up he was buzzing with all the things he had done and was very excited that he knew the song they sang in assembly (Our God is a great big God). The rest of the week has gone swimmingly, Zak has come home with stickers on his jumper every day for this and that and had a fantastic week - and doesnt seem to be that tired either. I went to the Celebration Assembly on Friday, all the Reception children got a mention for doing something good, Zak got a mention for sitting nicely!!!! Was a bit odd sitting as a parent in the assembly with a child in reception and a child on my lap when four years ago I was at the front of the assembly playing my guitar!!!! Right tea time ready, Im so so so proud of my big boy Zak.
