Catch up and a death in the family

| | Comments (0)

Sorry no blog entries for a while but we have moved and have no internet at the new house yet!! Our new house is lovely, little two bedroom terrace but plenty big enough for our needs and just nice to be in our own place with our own space and mess!!! The extra 5ish minutes walk to school is okay although we do get the bus every now and again.

The death in the family has been very sad. Orange Mills, Zaks faithful orange toy 'thing' died last week. He was getting thinner and thinner and then a huge whole appeared on Monday morning in his tummy. Zak cried and again on the Tuesday, he has been such a comfort to Zak through all the changes that have happened. He has put him away in his special 'pirate box' and in the meantime has 'Green Mills' who is the same but green!! He seems to be doing okay as a substitute.

Another big bit of news is that after half term I am going back to work for 20hours a week. I am going to be the Children's Worker for St Matthews Church. I have mixed feelings about it, I'm excited about the job and what I can do in the role. But i'm scared as I have not worked for 5 years and so think it will all be a bit strange. Also I'm wondering how the new routine and everything is going to work out. Maisey is going to be going to Nursery for two long mornings and the rest of my hours I will fit around stuff. We went for a visit to Nursery this morning and Maisey seemed quite happy with the whole thing and went off and played quite happily without me. She is now asleep in the buggy while I enjoy an hour in the library to myself before going to Zak's school to look at his work. I love this library in Rugby, I'm probably in here most days for something - normally the toilet!!!

Cant think of any other earth shattering news. Im booked in to take a lypoma off my back in hospital in November, just in and out in an afternoon and local aneasthetic. Zak has a teacher training day the day after which is good as we can have a lazy day at home and I dont have to do the two hours of walking!!!! - thinking pushing the buggy might be a bit sore!!!

Right may go and read a bit of 'Red' magazine and choose some new books now. TTFN XXXX
