new jeans

Treated myself to a new pair of jeans with my first pay packet. I headed straight to NEXT as I know their jeans fit me pretty well normally. I took two pairs into the changing room, a cheaper pair and a more expensive pair (well only £10 between them). The more expensive pair fitted lovely and were really comphy. I then tried on the cheaper pair in the size I always take in NEXT 12L and there was no-way that I could do them up - needed about another three inches on the waistband - I asked the lady to bring me a 14L and tried them on and they were HUGE! I could have fitted a cushion round my waist in them. How strange that sizes and fits vary so so much!!!!
