What a week!!!

Well today we managed to get out of the house - TWICE!! We had two little trips into Rugby. Maisey is loads better. Zak is getting there but he is so weak and tired - probably partly from not eating much for over a week. They were well ready for bed but overall some improvement I think!!!

Ment to write on here the other day. I think it was Thursday I woke up feeling so down and wondering how I was going to get through another day the same, with poorly kids and feeling poorly myself. I switched on the radio when we came downstairs for breakfast which was on a Christian channel and the following song just sprung out at me (esp the bits in bold italics!!!)

"Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You, we turn to You.
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You, we long for You.

Pre-Chorus
'Cause when we see You we find strength to face the day,
And in Your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away.

Chorus
Hosanna, hosanna,
You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises.

Verse 2
Hear the sound of hearts returning to You, we turn to You.
In Your kingdom broken lives are made new, you make all things new.

Hosanna, hosanna,
Come have Your way among us, we welcome You here Lord Jesus.

Yeah, You are the God who saves us, You are the God who saves us,
Worthy of all our praises, You are the God who saves us"

It really made a difference hearing that song for the day ahead. That with God I could make it through the day, that my fears would be washed away. At lunch time on Thursday I decided that the kids needed to see the doctor - as I was ringing to book an appointment Ben who I work with turned up to see if we were okay. Bless him, he hung around and took us to the doctors - otherwise would have ment the hassle of the bus. Turns out Maisey had an ear infection in both of her ears so she has antibiotics (hence how she is picking up now) but there was nothing they could do for Zak. When I asked the doctor how long it would take she replied "sometimes its a few days, sometimes a week" to which I replied "Its been a week already".

So hopefully now we can all begin to enjoy Christmas. Hopefully if Zak is well enough he is going to play a King in the carol service at Church tomorrow night - a lady suggested it as he had missed all his school Christmas things. He hates dressing up but I think wearing a crown and a cape he can cope with!!

Jons killing people on the X box!!! Im going to have an early night and read my book. I have just started reading the Diary of Anne Frank - I read it as a teenager but have wanted to read it again for a long time. Ive only just started it and amazed by it already. Blows me away how this girl aged 13-15 wrote this amazing diary which billions of people have now read, and she so sadly died at the age of 16.

Sleep well
