But hurrah my wonderful husband has now fixed it.

The worse thing has just happened. I was having a nice bath and from under the bath a huge wasp came out flying like a lunatic. What to do?? I screamed!!! Then I ran out of the bathroom and shut the door, Zak was now screaming and Maisey crying. I shut Zak and Maisey in Zaks room and had to be brave and open the bathroom door and go back in with the fly swat. Amazingly the wasp was just lying on the bathmat so with two big hits I managed to kill it. Was so so horrible and now I keep thinking a wasp has landed on me when a hair touches my back or something brushes past me! Yuck yuck yuck. Jon was at the pub and missed the whole thing!!

Who would have thought it!!! Me on a silent retreat! Came yesterday tea time and am here until after lunch tomorrow. It's not total total silence as you meet your spiritual guide regularly and there are collective worship times. The part that I am finding the oddest is not being allowed to talk at meal times. Meal times I find are a very sociable time, time to catch up with others lives and enjoy food and talk!!

I have had a couple of nights away without the kids but that has been with Jon, So I don't think that I have been away on my own since the kids were born - long time! Zak was very tearful when I left - he is a real Mummies boy and he said "Daddy goes away all the time but I am not used to you being away" - felt awful leaving him, but I know he will be fine. Jon said he was a bit tearful at bedtime as well,

Not going to write what is going on with me at the retreat as its still early days and I want to digest everything going on. A lady last night said that retreat is a real treat! I'm treating it like that! I've been for a walk, done a guided meditation and a imaginative prayer - had lunch and am now going to read my book and hope the rain goes away so I can go and ponder in the garden later.

Bye

Never wrote on here about my tooth extraction!!! Not that I'm sure that any of you really want to know!!

Six weeks ago I had my lower wisdom tooth removed. First of all I would like to say I don't know how anyone has more than one wisdom tooth out at a time!!! They deserve a medal - not so much for the actual taking out but for the recovery! I really do believe that it does take 6 weeks for your body to heal after a trauma. It has taken six weeks for the stitches to completely go and for me to be able to brush my teeth without hurting a bit of my gum or the stitch site.

So I took Jon on a Monday afternoon to the dentist. I was in the dentist for about 50mins. They pulled bits of it out but then had to cut the gum and drill the rest of it out. I was a bit scared, but I couldn't feel a thing so just tried to lie there and think happy thoughts!!! It was loads better than I thought it would be, although I was very glad to get out at the end. The next few days afterwards were very painful though. I could not open my mouth very far and just felt exhausted. I had Tuesday off work and then only did a bit on Wednesday, but then back into school on Thursday which I should not have done looking back!

So there we go!!! The story of the tooth that is no more!! Oh and the best bit was the tooth fairy left me £20 Fat Face voucher (took me until mid morning on the Tuesday to realise the play on words!!!)

I always get my bras fitted in Marks and Spencers - it's a free service so why not take up the offer to get a bra that fits properly. All bras fit differently and one size will fit in one style of bra and not in another.

So off I trotted to Marks last Friday after school and came away with four bras in a 36 B (been wearing a 34C). I did mention that one felt a bit odd somewhere but the bra fitter assured me that it was a good fit. I normally get the 'same' lady to fit my bras as I think she is excellent but she was with another customer.

So out I come chuffed that I have four new bras (buy one get one half price - in packs of 2). However during wearing them this week they have not been comphy and my left breast keeps popping out of my bra to create a 'second boob' - not a good look in tight tops!!

So yesterday I went back to Marks and Spencers. I got the same lady who fitted me last Friday and told her I was not happy with the bras. At first she said that I was wearing my bra incorrectly!!! After 'showing' her she did slightly agree that she had fitted me with the wrong bra!!! She seemed baffled - but didn't really do anything to help - just said I needed to come back in when there was a 34C so she could compare the two. I'm now slightly panicking as I only have one bra as I threw my old ones away!!!

I decided to go to another Marks at the Richo. They had no bra fittings for an hour but I explained my situation and how I was really 'in need' as I only had one bra now. She said that she couldn't do a proper fitting with me but would check the bras I tried on to get me the right size. Anyways - after trying on a few bras I came away with four bras in a 34D!!!!

The point of this blog really is to encourage all you ladies to have your bra fitted. My bra size is a 36B but the bra that fitted me was a 34D! Odd I know - but go get your bras fitted (hopefully from a good fitter!!!)

Not had much time for blogs recently - too much of a busy beee!!!!

The weeks before half term were spent changing our bedroom into two bedrooms so the kids could have one each, and us moving into their room (all to keep our spare room as a spare room!!!) Many hours were spent putting up walls and decorating - but so worth it - two lovely rooms have been created and for the first time ever Z and M have had their own rooms.

I am now doing 3 1/2 days working as a TA and 1 1/2 days working for church as a schools worker. I love both jobs, all schools based but in different roles. I have built up good relationships with two of the schools already (in my Church job!!) and about to start with another school. I've had some funny comments such as one child saying to me when they were coming to our harvest festival we did for them at Church "are those your Church clothes Lara?"

So life is busy busy. I'm out the house every day from 8ish to 4ish and then have a house to run and two children to enjoy and do reading spellings with etc. But it's good - just busy!! I think for the first time in our life we have 'savings' in the bank - they won't be savings for very long as they are going on the new kitchen in the Spring!!!

Maisey is loving school and doing really well. She asks most mornings "It is a school day today isn't it Mummy?" Zak is doing super as well, it's hard not to compare him with the children where I work as I work in a year 2 class the same as Zak is in this year. Where I work however the standards are above average and so I have to remember that this is not the 'norm'. Anyways the fact that Zak loves school and is happy and content there far outweighs where he is academically.

Right kids bed time - they are watching 'Me and My Monsters' - very odd programme!!

Take care

I didn't get to the end, as when I was near to the end I read an interview with the author at the back of the book which told me that the book never came to an 'ending' and the reader was left wondering what had happened. How silly - well to me!!!! I was reading the book as I wanted to know what happened at the end and when I found out that I would never know I stopped reading the book!!!!

This book is as good as the first book which I LOVED! It is such a good book, easy to read with some lovely stories and some very funny ones - I don't often laugh out loud at books but I did at this one!!

I do hope she writes a third book about her life in Cornwall. When I have finished both of her books I have been sad as they are just soooo good I want them to go on for many more pages!!

Basically it is about three retired men who take weekly walks in the Peak District. I picked it up atZak's school summer fayre. The Express gave it the review of "terrific....had me crying with laughter" - I wouldn't give it such a glowing review but it was a good read and made you really feel like you were the fourth person on their walks. Okay book, but nothing special - I would give it maybe 6 out of 10.

I say kind of read because I only read bits. I have wanted to read this since it came out but only recently has it made it into our local library. It was way too 'history' for me - I was hoping it was more of real life stories but it was just lots of historical infromation. So if you are into history a great read, but not for me :( I kind of stuck with it for a bit then just picked bits out of the rest of the book!!!
