Back to the Blog!!
I'm so naff at doing this whole blog thing recently. And it's not that my life is too boring to think of anything to write about - it's just that I have a bizarre tendency to keep myself busy from the moment I wake up in the morning to the time my head hits the pillow (which is usually quite late).
Anyway, this week saw the first lot of Aurora '07-'08 interviews take place, and it was a long but very enjoyable experience. I'm sure that one or two of the applicants didn't realise that it was an interview procedure, as they had some interesting character traits, but they all came good in the end.
I sent them all out together to do a video shoot (just as did the team last year) and they had a great time together, which is always a good sign. So now we have to make some final decisions about what the team might look like from the summer, and also interview at least one more applicant. It's going to be quite interesting putting timetables together and working through all the housing and church needs etc. But there you go.
And after three 12hr days and a fond farewell to Katie (who left YFC after 3 years this week) I finally have a weekend to enjoy with my family - but guess what - they're all ill, so just sitting round the house and taking Gaviscon for a small amount of heartburn (if you're gonna read this blog, you've gotta be prepared to find out stuff like that).
I also this week discovered a wierd piece of bone between my left & right ribs, right at the bottom, which I've never noticed before. Apparently it starts off life as a peice of cartalidge and when you grow up it calcifies and turns into bone. Very odd really. but it's kinda become like a new freind to me now. If any of you are checking your chest for one right now, and it's not there, well, never mind, and if it is there, well, that's your "Xiphoid Process". Hey, we all just learned something new!!
Right, I'm gonna watch "meet the parents" (again) now with my mum. She's never seen it and I like to watch her laugh uncontrollably!! More on that another time.
Also, I'll post the new Aurora Video Shoot for you to download a.s.a.p.
Watch this space.
Happy camping!!
