Mortality!!

Right, so I was going to write all about how we've reached the end of week 2 of this year's Aurora, and about how the new year outers - Gavin & Tony - are doing really well and "convergence" this afternoon was really excellent, but then something weird happened - I watched the film Babel. It really wasn't what I expected, and dealt a lot with the whole issue of mortality, and so now, I'm gonna blog about this instead...

Every so often, I realise how blessed I am to have an amazing family. I know that we all have good and bad periods, but on the whole, I really feel blessed by them. I know that all families have issues with money and the "stuff" that they buy that they didn't really need, but in perspective, it's all rubbish. Yeah, we need to be sensible, but "money" means nothing if "life" is dull, and that's one thing that mine isn't!!

So this is just one of those rare, but necessary, blogs about how important my family are to me, and a moment for me to stop and say, "you know what... I really don't care what the future holds, as long as I get to spend most of it with my gorgeous wife and kids!!".

So there you go!!

(and before you ask, NO this isn't the beginning of a mid-life crisis. I (think) I actually meant all of that, and need to say it far more often)
