All Booked Out...
I have literally spent the whole of this weekend with my face in a book.
As part of the Missional Leadership Scheme that I'm a part of this year I have to complete various book assignments, character studies and other projects, and having taken a couple of weeks off from reading the first book on my list, I now have a fair amount of catching up to do, which is fine, but I've just about had my quota now for the weekend. Check out my leadership ramblings here.
And tomorrow evening, I am leading a training session on "project planning" for loads of youth workers, So I need to spend most of my day tomorrow finalizing that session (oh, and reading through a huge new strategy document for NSYFC).
It feels like I'm so close to finishing our bathroom, although realistically, we still have to line & paint 3 walls, lay the new lino, fit the bath panel, and I need to design & build a new bathroom cabinet to put in the corner.
I also discovered a new (to me) thing called "holophonics". It's basically a way of recording stereo sound so that when you listen to it through headphones, it actually sounds like people are walking all around you. Very odd, but extremely cool. So I bought all the components to build a small stereo pre-amp and 2 tiny (5mm) microphones so that I could try it for myself. All I need now is a big foam head (no stupid comments please).
I'll let you know how I get on. It should be a whole load of fun.
But for now, I'm off to have a nice long bath and then up the wooden hill to a county slightly east of Northamptonshire.
Toodle Pip.
