A Bad Start...
So, today is Maisey's 2nd birthday, and she is a V.V.happy girl.
However, I seem to have made a most haynus mistake...
When we got home last night, Lara asked me to make Maisey a birthday card (it's what I always do), and I was happy to oblige, even though it was quite late and Lara was clearly about to go to bed and leave me to struggle on.
Anyway, I finally finish making the "blessed" card at around 1.30am and, feeling extremely tired, write a lovely message in it and head up the wooden hill.
All sounds fine - right?
Well, it was, until this morning when I was woken by Lara at 6.35am to open Maisey's presents (we still need to work on allowing our kids to PLAY IN THEIR ROOMS in the mornings) and Lara asked me to pass her the card I'd made.
Maisey looked really smiley when she saw the picture of her & Dora the Explorer together on the front, and then there was a long pause as Lara opened the card, followed by the words, "We're you tired when you made this?"
It turns out, that I had somehow managed to not only write "3 today" in the card, but I'd also signed it from "Jon, Lara & Zak" - not Mummy & Daddy like any normal parent would!!
Like I said, not a great start - let's hope the day gets BETTER!!
Ooops!!
