The Blog Upgrade...

| | Comments (0)
On Monday of this week, I decided to upgrade the blog publishing platform (Movable Type) to the latest stable release (mt4.1) as it has many new features which I was quite excited about.

Having downloaded the new install files, I uploaded them over the original files, only to discover that the blogs no longer worked at all.

After playing around with it for most of the evening, I finally managed to access the new blog interface, but found that ALL of the blogs and entries had disappeared. Boy, did I panic - 4 years of journal entries down the pan!!

Anyway, it turns out that I needed to update a couple of other settings manually, and everything sprung back to life, which is cool. and now I have all kinds on new widgets to play with on my blog (and soon I'll have access to some new funky exciting templates to really spruce things up).

So, keep watching!!
