The Journey...
Yesterday was the (dreaded) YFC staff appraisal and, it turns out, there was no need to dread it after all. Everything went pretty swimmingly, with some good ideas for the future of my role.
More on that in a future entry.
Anyway, I left work @ 4.20 to collect Lara from festering park, and 6.5 hours later we arrived in Haywards Heath, to visit the outlaw who's recovering from her 4th Hip operation in less than a year. Various traffic reports had claimed that the M25 was a nightmare, so we decided to be brave and head through London - it was great - I love London!!
The funny bit was that we went through one area that we both thought looked "extremely posh & expensive" and when we checked the signs, we were driving through Ealing, of all places (some of you will understand that bit - others won't - never mind eh?).
And now we're at Lara's step-mum's house, drinking tea and watching Shrek II.
I may go for a wander into town in a while - but I'm guessing I won't get to.
And only 1 more day and we'll be home waiting for our friends to visit for the bank holiday. Wicked!!
That'll do for now. Take it easy, people!!
