The Minature World...
Is it just me, or does our world keep getting smaller, and smaller?
I just found out that Luke (the YFC media guy) has now started going to my original home church in Quinton, Birmingham.
And, more bizarrely than that, the way I found out was that he's joined the pub quiz team that my brother is in. He only made the connection because my brother recognized all his card tricks, so Luke asked him if he knew a guy called Jon Mills.
How weird is that?
On a more personal note - having been in Rugby for the weekend, we attended our old church (St. Matthew's) this morning, and it was so cool to see so many familiar faces.
And the big question on our minds as we came home - how on earth do we set about developing such a close-knit social network in Stoke? Is it actually possible? It usually happens through church connections, but most of the lively spirit-filled churches attract people from all over the city, so you don't get the whole "Let's pop down the road and have a cuppa with Mr X" type mentality.
Anyway, that's me. It's been a very cool weekend.
(and still no hug)
