Out of the toolbox...

Today was the day..

The day that I helped out at a youth and children's leaders training day called "toolbox".

The day that our friends called in to see us and I wasn't here to see them.

The day that I got to lead worship with a full band for the first time in over a year.

And the day that Lara had to look after our kids even though she is developing a really bad cold.

It was so good to play at the toolbox event. I think we produced a pretty amazing sound - especially on the slightly more "celtic" style songs - and then a perfect end:

A certain person who was leading the event stood up to address everyone and stated that he'd enjoyed the worship "even if it wasn't the most polished performance, but [he'd] definately heard worse!!".

Lovely heh? I'm so glad I helped out now.

And the "kid's worship" slot that my colleague (lou) did was really good - it maily involved older members of the group jumping around singing worship songs and playing kazoo "solos".

Excellent.

And we have more friends here tomorrow, so that'll be nice.

Anyway, enough blogging and more time with kids I think.
