Bordering on madness!!
I've just this minute finished painting our bedroom (again). After ripping down a small piece of the border around the top of our room several months ago, we decided that we weren't going to re-decorate our room as originally planned. But now with selling up and all, we figured we aught to fix the border back.
So, we went out and bought some new border, to stick over the old one, but then Lara decided that £15 was too much to spend on a border, so instead, she masked all the way round the bottom of the old one, and together we painted the old one RED!!
The only trouble was, that it took 3 coats, several hours, and looked awful!!
So, tonight, I've ripped ALL the old border down - red paint and all - and re-painted the whole lot yellow to match the rest of the walls in the room. (so no border needed after all anyway).
And why am I telling you all this?
Just 'cos I can't believe how long it's taken to fix a problem with 2 foot of missing border!!
oh, and I painted the toilet as well, so that's looking (nearly) finished now.
Other news - I was at national YFC for an event today and had a couple of interesting conversations with Roy Crowne & Richard Bromley re. my work situation.
