1. Should I start adding you-tube videos that I find interesting to this blog? would anyone look at them, and would they make the site more interesting?
2. Should I scrap the whole "podcast" thing, or make it more regular? And should I stick to video, or just do audio ones from now on?
3. Should I just put a snippet of each entry on the main page, that then links to the full entry if you want to read it, or should I just blog the whole lot every time?
4. Do you want more theology stuff, just general ramblings, or a focus on another specific theme?
Your thoughts really are appreciated - there's no point me blogging my heart out if it's just boring people.
As usual, answers by comment are appreciated.
This is amazing - a recording that a friend and I made using a polystyrene head. It'll freak you out, or at least give you a good laugh.
The deal is... you NEED TO WEAR HEADPHONES and close your eyes, or it just won't work.
So, go get your headphones, get ready to close your eyes, and then download the file.
Time for another podcast, and again it's a fine example of puppets in action.
This time, the Auroras were experimenting with reading directly from a script from the internet.
And yet again, it's a BAD example of a christian script (with a squirrel that looks a lot like a panda).
See if you can spot why this may not be the best script ever!!
So, here it is... the second Aurora video podcast from the '07 team (+ extras):
The brief: To produce a short film, entitled "The secret life of...".
This really is unbelievably ridiculous!!
No, I'm not going anywhere. It's just that Aurora '06/'07 is finally complete and it's all a bit odd around the office. So here to celebrate all things Aurora is a final farewell to the team. Watch the video. I would say it's their best bits, but actually it's their funnest bits - the best bits were the kingdom work they did in the lives of young people this year!! Anyway, they'll still be around a lot, but it'll never quite be the same!!
So here's the deal...
Last week during the Aurora year-out selection process, one of the present team made a wild claim that it was physically impossible to freeze FIZ!! I mean, how ridiculous!!
Anyway, Being a naturally inquisitive person, I decided to check it out for myself, so for the last week there has been an unopened 75cl bottle of coca-cola sitting in our freezer at home, which last night I removed from the sub-z cabinet and left to defrost.
Once completely defrosted (and looking decidedly un-fizzy in the unopened bottle, I finally opened the lid, and the results were far from staggering.
But you'll just have to watch the video to find out what happened (or subscribe to the realyouth podcast on iTunes)
So here it is... my latest podcast - the video made by Aurora '07 candidates. ( It's been suggested that we send it to a certain TV show in the hope of making 250 crisp green sheets, but who knows.
Anyway, take a look @ it and have a smile. Watch out especially for the handstands and tree climbing bits.
WARNING: this is a 50mb download so only really worth viewing if you're (a) really interested, (b) have a fairly fast connection, or (c) just need something to cheer up your day!!
Have fun.
p.s. Have you subscribed to the realyouth podcast on iTunes? You know you want to!!
It's so scarey hitting the dreaded 3 0!! I actually found myself wandering down to the village today thinking about how much I'd like to do in "the next phase of my life".
Aaarrrgghh!!
Anyhoo, we had a really great day yesterday in London - inc. starbucks, Pizza and various HUGE stores. Lara had managed to plan the day very sneekily, and it was lovely.
The only problem now, is getting in touch with the various people I'd arranged meetings with yesterday, and didn't get a chance to cancel (I didn't realise that Lara had booked the day of work for me).
So there you go. I'm 30 - although apparently I'm not "in my 30's" until I reach 30.5. (thanks for that C.T.) and we're off to Center Parcs next week to celebrate our 7th Anniversary, so that'll be nice.
In the mean time, watch this video that YFC did for me - it's quite kool to work with such a nice bunch of people.
I finally got round to producing another video podcast. And here it is - not of my family, but of the lovely bunch of Aurora's at NSYFC doing a wierd video project.
They basically had to go and get video footage of themselves doing a number of interesting tasks.
Take a look (& be patient. it's a large download, but worth it!!)
